The nursery will be open all day 8:00 - 4:00 and the festivities will begin at 4:00
• The Live Bait Band - Their SIXTH appearance at our bamboo festivals.
• Polynesian theme. We've done Cuban (twice), Jamaican, & Mexican. Asian was last year. • Drinks - Beer, Ale, Wine, Smoothies, Water, Soft Drinks, (and maybe a bit of Absinthe). So far, we'll have on tap:
Fullers ESB, Sierra Nevada Pale Ale,Bud Light and Bud American Ale, I'm working on a couple of Hawaiian beers....(more to come)
Fullers ESB is a superior British ale, Sierra Nevada Pale ale is a multiple award-winning U.S. ale.
• Entertainment - Fire knife & hula show for kids & adults, Tama Leao's Polynesian Show.
We have a Face Painter will be doing tribal tattoos for everyone. An elaborate smoothie bar is booked for tropical flavors (rum optional).
I've ordered 100 straw Beach comber hats and 200 leis for those who really want to get into the spirit. We also have a dozen coconut bras and grass skirts for any brave souls.
We ARE doing a Hawaiian imu pit and will roast a whole pig, some chickens, ducks, turkeys, and sweet potatoes in a bed of banana leaves. Plenty of rice and possibly poi (if I can get it flown in fresh).
The Monkey Lady will bring her non-human primates as always.
